When Rocksteady originally released Batman Arkham Asylum in 2009, I'm not sure they knew what they were actually starting. It's unique freeflow combat and stealth gameplay won it Game of the Year in 2009, also won by the sequel, Batman Arkham City. Arkham City became one of the best rated games of all time, scoring dozens of 9 out of 10 reviews, and more than a few 10 out of 10s. However, last year's prequel, Arkham Origins, was made by WB Games Montreal, and never got quite the praise of its predecessors (in my opinion it was highly underrated, but still couldn't top City). Now Rocksteady is back in charge for the finale, the long awaited sequel to Arkham City, Batman Arkham Knight. Before you do anything else, check out the awesome trailer here. Done? Good. Now, let's go into extreme detail about absolutely everything revealed so far about this game.
The long awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham City may be nearly ready for debut, after over 2 years of quiet from Rocksteady Studios. The less than successful Arkham prequel, Batman Arkham Origins, was released late last year, but fans worldwide are still waiting for a true sequel to that incredible Arkham City. And it looks like we won't have to wait long.
One of the biggest complaints about the new PS4 is that there aren't enough great games that separate it from its rivals. But this year that all changed with the arrival of Infamous Second Son, Driveclub, and The Order: 1886. And now The Order: 1886 has been confirmed for a 2014 release date alongside a bunch of new gorgeous screenshots.
Battlefield 4 was hyped up to be one of the best games of 2013, but was released with a number of issues like corrupted save files and poor multiplayer server quality. DICE has since released a number of patches to fix the problems, and several more are inbound to totally fix the game and add features. DICE also want to make it up to gamers and apologise for the problems, and to do that they have announced the Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month.
In September last year, Sony took to the stage at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan to announce 2 new PS Vita products. They were the PlayStation Vita Slim (aka the PS Vita PCH-2000) and the PlayStation Vita TV. The two products are both tiny portable consoles designed to undercut the flagship PS4, but they were both exclusive to Japan and select regions of East Asia. Now it seems one or both of them will be making it's way to Europe and America.
So the PS4 launched to great success about 3 months ago, selling over 4.2 million units. But Valve have started their own charge on the console market, partnering up with companies to launch no less than 14 Steam Machines this year, ranging from budget systems to rival the PS4, and super powered monsters set to compete with gaming PCs. But for now at least, it seems as though the PS4 will beat the Steam Machines. However, the future of PlayStation may be at risk from Valve's new movement.
Minecraft is one of the best selling games of recent years, so it's clearly very good. But eventually, you may find yourself getting bored. You're built a nice house, you've got your diamonds and gold from the mines, you've got a big farm and now you just can't anything else to do. So here we have compiled a list of 6 things you can do just for fun. All of them work in Survival mode, so you don't need Creative to get them to work. And they all work for all versions of the game, from PC to Xbox and PlayStation, and even Pocket Edition for your phone/tablet. Enjoy!
